Wednesday's in the Youth RoomThis is a big book, step study meeting, focusing on the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, which “encourages us to embrace imperfection, impermanence and simplicity. It reminds us that all things in life are temporary, and it highlights the beauty to be discovered in that which is transient, natural and flawed.” All those with a desire to stop drinking are welcome to attend.

Discover the Joy of Preschool at Our Fellowship Hour
October 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Join us for the Preschool Hosting Fellowship Hour, where we will introduce Laura Amicucci, SCC's Preschool Director. The Southport Congregational Preschool opened in late August with 103 children aged 2 to 5 in attendance for the 2024-2025 school year! Amid all this excitement, we are already beginning our 2025-2026 school year enrollment. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a joy-filled, play-based preschool, please save the date for October 20 at 11:00 a.m. and come out to learn more about our programs!

All children, from Kindergarten to Grade 5, participate in Children’s Chapel. Following dismissal from the Sanctuary, the entire Church School gathers for a Chapel service that include singing, games, scripture as well as lessons and discussion. 6th, 7th and 8th Grade youth leave the Sanctuary and go directly to the Youth Room for their discussion-based class. Our Fun Friends, children ages 3 and 4, go directly to Room 5 following Church School dismissal from the Sanctuary for a play-based lesson and some fellowship time. Click HERE for more information.
